"Protect the Birds"
Protect the BirdsWe are pleased to announce that our Year 7 student, Isidora Djokovic, came out as an individual winner of the children’s City Competition entitled ”Protect the Birds”. Isidora had submitted an art work dedicated to birds which, according to the jury was considered the best art work presented by a student participating in this competition. Congratulations, Isidora!  

Second Best Junior Tennis Player in Serbia
We are also proud to announce that our Year 6 student, Dusan Vukicevic, has officially become the second best junior tennis player in Serbia. Dusan achieved this success after having played 20 city and state tournaments. In May 2009 Dusan competed in the “Adidas” tennis tournament and came out as one of the 6 winners who will all go to Belgium this summer and be received by Justine Henin, a former world’s number 1 women’s tennis player. Congratulations Dusan!

Spring Bazaar 2009
Spring Bazaar 2009This year’s Spring Charity Bazaar, which took place on 23rd May, was the most successful one in the school’s history. The school PTA and Student Council together with other participants at the Bazaar managed to collect 1400 Euro in support of the first International Conference to Muscular Dystrophy.

What is happiness and how to achieve it?
On Wednesday, 25th March the BIS Secondary students had a special opportunity to hear a lecture on one of the most popular topics of modern Psychology - "what is happiness and how to achieve it".
The presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mila Goldner-Vukov, Professor of Psychiatry at Oakland University, New Zealand.

Presentation on Finland
Our ‘Meet The World’ program is seen as an important part of school life at BIS. It offers our students the opportunity to further extend their knowledge of internationalism. Our most recent guest country was Finland.

BIS Christmas Production
On 18th December 2008, BIS put on its annual Junior School Christmas Production at the African Art Museum.
This year our students presented Cinderella to a large and enthusiastic audience of parents, relatives and friends.
