On 17th May our students and staff, joined by a number of people from the international and local communities of Belgrade, spent a pleasant Saturday at the BIS Spring Charity Bazaar. The charity cause behind  this year’s Bazaar was collecting funds for the Serbian para-olympc table tennis Champion, Borislava Peric.

We were happy to host two guests of honour on this pleasant occasion: Mr. Jovan Mladeniovic, Sales Manager of the Hyatt Hotel, and Mr. Mihailo Pajevic, president of the para-olympic basketballassociation of Serbia.

We would like to thank all the embassies and companies for making our Bazaar colourful with their stalls of national food and souvenirs.
With the weather on our side, everybody had fun, especially the children who had numerous rides on the merry-go round, played with the clown, and enjoyed other games organized by our staff.

A Capoeira Dance Club from Belgrade treated us all with 2 ten-minute presentation of this beautiful Brazilian dance.

Thanks to our generous donors, this year we had some valuable raffle prizes such as: 9 days for 3 persons in Greece donated by SIM Tours; and overnight saty with breakfast for 2 persons and brunch for 2 persons donated by the Hyatt Hotel; a weekend for 8 people at a house in Stara Moravica donated by Mrs. Trisha MacCurrach, a home theatre donated by Mr. Boys; and numerous baskets of goods donated by our Primary and Secondary parents.
