Students in Year 12 follow four AS Level subjects. Students in Year 13 continue with at least three A Level subjects. BIS designs subject groupings and provides suitably qualified teaching staff to meet student needs. A Levels, which students achieve by the end of Year 13, provide them with a range of subjects at an exceptionally high standard, that are well-known and accepted worldwide and offer a passport to universities throughout the world. A Level studies are offered in all curriculum areas and students will receive counselling at the end of Year 11 to advise them on which subjects to study further.
Students may choose to follow the University of Nebraska curriculum in Years 12 and 13 which includes the following subjects: American History 1 and 2, American Government, Ethnic Studies, Career Planning and Personal Finance. All the subjects that a student had been following at BIS or any other school in Years 9-12 will be recognised by the University of Nebraska as transfer credits. |
