Graduation Ceremony 2015 - British International School

There’s no greater recognition of a graduate’s achievements than a high school graduation ceremony. British International School (BIS) held its Prize giving and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, June 13, at “Vila Jelena”.

On that occasion, our primary and secondary students were awarded for their outstanding academic achievements. Aleksandar (Year 6) received the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) Award, Luka (Year 6) and Milica (Year 9) received the “Jonathan Rider” Academic Achievement Award. Our graduates, Predrag, received the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) Award, and Jan, received the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) Award, and all graduates received their diplomas. The diplomas and awards were presented by the Guest of Honour, H.E. Mrs Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of the Republic of India in Serbia.

The Principal, Ms Aleksandra Keserovic, the Guest of Honour and the Deputy Principal, gave speeches, in which they congratulated our graduates for their achievements and reflected on what had been a remarkable day for the students of BIS. Jan, the president of the Student Council also made a speech.

Then when everyone had their diplomas, they officially moved the tassels to the other side and tossed their mortar boards into the air. Balloons were everywhere, there were rounds of loud applause and the standing ovation and the young people were officially graduates. Then it was time for hugs, for meeting parents and for celebrating. They were treated to an evening of excellent food and fine wine, accompanied by the music of “Skale”.

Congratulations, Class of 2015!
