After the inaugural (hopefully annual) International Football Tournament was over with, we could conclude that it was a great success. Not only for the fact that our boys came third (with the top 3 teams separated by goal difference only), but also for the fact that it was very well organized by our hosts the Russian School with very little oversight.
Our team battled well – even after some setbacks such as injuries of some key players; they gave all they have in every game, and in the end, only one goal separated us from winning the tournament.
More importantly, this tournament was a nice manifestation, which allowed students from different international schools to compete against each other in fair and spirited environment. It allowed students from different spheres to co-work, act like a team and feel the sense of accomplishment in the end.
