Picasso at the Cote d’Azur - British International School

On Wednesday 28th March 2012 Year 3 and Year 6 of the BIS Primary School visited the Picasso at the Cote d’Azur exhibition at the ‘Beko’ Building in Belgrade. The two classes were given a guided tour of the exhibition. The children were shown the ceramic sculptures and silver plates and coins that Picasso made in the 1960s while visiting the Cote D’Azur in France. The guide showed the children different parts of the exhibition and gave detailed accounts of each piece of work. The children asked questions and heard many anecdotes about Picasso and his life.

The children were free to explore the exhibition; looking at each piece in their own time, drawing sketches, asking questions and reading all the information available. All the children enjoyed the visit very much and many said they would like to visit again with their parents.
