2022 was a tremendously successful year marked by a number of achievements that we are very proud of. 2022 marked quarter of a century of the provision of outstanding educational service delivery. The 2021/2022 academic year concluded with a celebration in the White Palace dedicated to saying goodbye and thank you to our cohort of graduates and a celebration of our 25 years in operation.
The start of the academic year 2022/23 began with the opening of our new Primary school campus. As with our other two campuses, our new primary location is in Dedinje, a prestigious district of Belgrade. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art offices and classrooms, surrounded by a yard for children’s games and sports activities as well as beautiful, natural vegetation.
In addition to the many successes of our students during 2022, we would like to highlight the exceptional results in the International Cambridge AS/A level exams. More than 220,000 students worldwide took the exams in June. International standards require that all students sit 3 A Level exams, however, due to the high academic ambitions at BIS, we were delighted that many of our students sat 3, 4, 5 and even 6 A Level exams. Our top graduate this year, Dunja I, achieved excellent results; with three A* and three A grades: Mathematics, Physics and Spanish with A* grades, and Biology, Chemistry and Economics with A grades. All of our June 2022 graduates achieved outstanding results in their A Levels and continued their educational journey at Universities across Europe and the world.
