On Thursday 3rd December both primary and secondary school students were very kindly invited to visit the White Palace. We ventured out on a cold, dark evening with bags of Christmas gifts in anticipation of our visit. The purpose of this trip was to donate Christmas presents to those children who are less fortunate than ourselves. BIS students should be congratulated on their generosity and kindness as they gave a wide range of gifts.
We were warmly greeted by Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine. Students had the opportunity to speak with and have their photographs taken with the Royals, which many of them were highly excited by. Students were then treated to food and drinks and had the opportunity to explore the stunning palace. The Prince and Princess both gave a speech explaining the importance of our visit and the dramatic difference that our gifts would make to those children in need. We then enjoyed listening to music performed by a band and singing by local school children.
We would like to thank the Prince and Princess for their hospitality and giving us the opportunity to spend time at the palace. All students left happy and content and seemed to have a thoroughly enjoyable time. We are eagerly awaiting our next visit!
