On September 10, 2021, BIS students visited the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade who were holding an exhibition entitled “Nikola Tesla, the man who defined the future”, curated by Italian architect and illustrator, Daniele Meucci.
The exhibition, dedicated to the genius Nikola Tesla and his unusual life, includes around fifty watercolour paintings which are included in the first graphic novel about Nikola Tesla to be published in December by Komshe.
The students had the privilege to talk to the artist in person and were delighted that they could ask questions about his work and the techniques he uses. Mr Meucci promised he would visit BIS and show the students, hands-on, how he does his watercolour paintings. The exhibition was well worth the visit.
Students were accompanied by Ms Ruska Jonjic, Art teacher, and Ms Aleksandra Keserovic, Director of Education at BIS.
